Initial Security Briefing 

The Initial Cybersecurity Briefing provides all Captiva Solutions personnel with a comprehensive introduction to the company’s security culture, expectations, and compliance-driven responsibilities. This session equips team members with an understanding of the evolving cyber threat landscape, common attack vectors such as phishing, ransomware, and social engineering, and the critical role each employee plays in safeguarding Captiva’s systems, data, and clients.The briefing covers foundational security principles—including password hygiene, multi-factor authentication, secure communication practices, data handling requirements, and the protection of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and other sensitive assets. Participants are introduced to Captiva’s cybersecurity policies, acceptable use standards, and mandatory compliance frameworks such as NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, and industry best practices.Additionally, the session outlines Captiva’s Incident Response expectations, including how to recognize suspicious activity, report potential incidents, and follow established escalation procedures. Employees will also learn about insider threat awareness, remote work security requirements, and third-party service considerations.By the end of the briefing, team members will understand their responsibilities, know how to avoid common security pitfalls, and feel empowered to contribute to Captiva’s overall security and compliance posture from day one.
